Introduction
As a student of the University of xxxxx majoring in xxxxxx I invite my classmates from communications and media to please welcome a very distinguished person who has inspired many people.

Our guest is one of the most interesting and influential woman in the United States of America, Ms. Oprah Winfrey.

Ms. Winfrey came from humble beginnings and was born in Kociusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954.

She lived with her father in Nashville, Tennessee who was a strict disciplinarian and saw to that she got a good education and applied herself. 

At the age of 17, Oprah began her career in radio at WVOL in Nashville and quickly moved up, became a reporter and anchor.

The Oprah Winfrey Show debuted nationally on September 8th, 1986.  Since her shows inception she has won many awards, including Daytime Emmy award, Broadcaster of the Year and so much more.
Oprah, though best known as a talk show host, also has done other notable things acting, started numerous book clubs, created and contributed to charities, started a production company, HARPO, received a Lifetime Achievement Award, became the first African American woman billionaire and created the O network and magazine.

She has been deemed Americas beloved best friend.

The special guest will then speak to the audience about her latest endeavors and current project.
Today, she will be talking about two important things that Im sure is also something we ask among ourselves

Her goals and aspirations for the future after her retirement from her show.

How we can get involved, participate in her charities and make a difference in the life of someone else.
Afterward, she will take questions from the audience.

Conclusion
As Ms. Winfrey has inspired and touched so many lives in her career, we can be sure that she will continue to touch lives even after her retirement.

Her wish, as is the wish of many, is that we continue her legacy in our own ways by contributing to society. Though none of us expects to do something to the magnitude she has done, our own little help can make a big difference in the life of one person.
