Introduction of myself,

My name is xxxxx.

I am a student at the University of xxxxx and currently enrolled in a class of communications and media and my major is xxxx. 

My purpose is to introduce to you a very interesting and influential woman in the United States of America.

Before I introduce her, Id like to give you a small biography or background on who she is, where she came from and what she has accomplished.  Oprah Winfrey came from humble beginning and was born in Kociusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954.  After experiencing abuse within her family she ran away from home and was later sent to live with her father in Nashville, Tennessee.  Her father although a strict disciplinarian, saw to that she got a good education and applied herself.  She knew she wanted to work in broadcasting from an early age.  At the age of 17 years old Oprah began her career in radio at WVOL in Nashville.  She quickly moved up, became a reporter and anchor and in 1984 she moved North and ended up in Chicago.  She took the city by storm and has not looked back.  Her The Oprah Winfrey Show debuted nationally on September 8th, 1986.  Since her shows inception she has won too many awards to mention, including Daytime Emmy award, Broadcaster of the Year and so much more.  She also has done some acting, started numerous book clubs, charities the world over, a production company, HARPO and received a Lifetime Achievement Award, became the first African American woman billionaire and created the O network and magazine.  She has been deemed Americas beloved best friend.

And then I will welcome her to speak to you in her own words.   And so with no further adieu, it gives me great pleasure to present this spectacular woman herself
